The Hoboken Public Library Foundation was established to support the growing needs of the Library with a focus on capital improvements. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of volunteers who donate their time and efforts to help ensure the long-term financial future of the Library.
The Hoboken Public Library Foundation was established in 2009 to further the major renovation projects needed to upgrade the existing building and to expand the Library's footprint to provide additional services to the community.
Our mission is to provide long-term stable support for the resources and services the library requires to meet the evolving educational, social, cultural, technological, and informational needs of the community.
Our beautiful library, designed by Albert Beyer, is an architectural treasure and a legacy for us to preserve and nurture for future generations of library visitors.
Please view the HPL Master Plan for more information on renovations.
Through the work of the Foundation and your generous donations, the Hoboken Public Library is keeping pace with the latest technology. The library opened a Creation Space — a public Makerspace to foster learning and creativity.
The Hoboken Public Library Foundation is focused on helping our library grow and become THE hub of learning and social interaction in our community now and into the future.
You can do your share by supporting the Foundation with a contribution today! And please know that your donation will not disappear into a black hole of bureaucracy. Your dollars will be used to fund real programs, real renovations, real purchases, real repairs, and real innovations.
